Empowering Dreams and Enriching Communities
In 1987, Phil Dotts put together a group of community partners to respond to plans that would demolish aging public housing in the City of Huntsville. Out of that work, Neighborhood Concepts was formed in 1988 to develop replacement housing for the lost units. NCI continues to create or preserve equitable housing opportunities and currently has over 1,200 units in portfolio throughout the southeast.
Recognizing that neighborhoods thrive when they have access to economic opportunity, NCI formed the North Alabama Revolving Loan Fund in 2013 to offer responsible loans to small businesses and entrepreneurs in north Alabama.
